Nick Yorke keeps hitting in Triple-A.
The infielder had a three hit game on Sunday for Indianapolis, including his seventh homer of the year. The two run shot came in the fifth inning, helping to spark a comeback. Indianapolis was losing 8-1 at the time, and went on to win 10-9.
Yorke’s homer traveled 401 feet at 101.8 MPH. He also had a single at 107.5 MPH and another single at 98 MPH.
The Pirates acquired Yorke at the trade deadline for Quinn Priester. In his first month with Indianapolis, he hit .340/.405/.460 with 12 doubles, but didn’t homer.
