Jack Brannigan returned to Greensboro this week, and his power returned to the lineup in a big way on Friday night.
The third baseman led off the bottom of the first with a double, his first of the game. He was left stranded on third base with the bases loaded, as Greensboro failed to plate a run.
Brannigan did it on his own in the second inning. With two outs and a runner at first, Brannigan launched his 18th homer of the season. The shot put Greensboro up 2-1 at the time. They would go on to win 4-3.
