Two Pirates prospects homered in the Arizona Fall League on Wednesday.
Kervin Pichardo and Geovanny Planchart both launched home runs in Scottsdale’s 11-10 loss to Peoria. It was the first AFL homer for Pichardo and the second for Planchart.
Pichardo hit his homer in the third inning, putting Scottsdale up 3-0 with his two run shot. The second baseman went 2-for-5, also hitting an RBI single in the ninth inning as the Scorpions tried to come back.
Planchart had a big game, with four hits in five at-bats. He started the scoring with an RBI single in the second inning, knocking in a run.
