Braxton Ashcraft made his return to the mound on Friday night.
The number six prospect in the system was activated off the injured list ahead of the game. He was out since July 6th, when he went three shutout innings, striking out three. Ashcraft only threw a single inning of work on Friday, allowing an unearned run on one hit.
The first batter of the game reached on catcher’s interference. After Ashcraft got a flyout for the first out of the game, he allowed a double which led to the runner scoring from first.
