A little over three weeks ago, Termarr Johnson was called-up from High-A Greensboro to Double-A Altoona after having his best stretch of games through June and July. As one of the Pirates’ top prospects, many are anticipating an appearance in the big leagues soon, but there is still work to do with the Curve. Thankfully, after a strong end to the season, Johnson is in a great position moving forward.
Typical of Johnson, he started the season off incredibly slow at the plate, with many wondering who was impersonating Pittsburgh’s top infielder during this slump. However leading up to the All-Star break, Johnson was on a 12-game hit streak, then extending it to 17 on the season before receiving the call from Altoona.
