The Pittsburgh Pirates community received troubling news on Monday that pitcher Jameson Taillon had undergone surgery for what is suspected to be testicular cancer.
Taillon consulted the team's medical staff over the weekend, concerned about an abnormality. He is currently on the 10-day disabled list pending further testing.
To show their support for their teammate, Pirates players and coaching staff will wear "Jamo #50" wristbands on Wednesday night during their game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Tonight all Pirates players and coaches received Jamo #50 wristbands in support of Jameson Taillon.
