The Pittsburgh Pirates recalled infielder/outfielder Tucupita Marcano prior to Saturday’s game against the St Louis Cardinals. First baseman Ji-Man Choi was placed on the 10-day Injured List after being scratched from yesterday’s lineup due to ankle discomfort. That move was made retroactive to April 14th.
We have placed INF Ji Man Choi on the 10-day injured list (retro to April 14), and have recalled INF Tucupita Marcano from Triple-A Indianapolis.

Choi has hit .125/.125/.344 in nine games this season, connecting on two solo homers for his only RBIs.
