BRADENTON, Fla. — Right-hander Joe Musgrove has discomfort in his right shoulder, the Pirates announced Monday.
Musgrove felt the issue Sunday and did not throw live batting practice as a result. The Pirates are continuing to evaluate Musgrove to determine his status.
The 25-year-old Musgrove went on the 10-day disabled list with the Houston Astros last season because of what the Astros also termed right shoulder discomfort. He missed only two starts and returned 13 days later.
