The Pittsburgh Pirates announced prior to Tuesday's game with the Los Angeles Dodgers that they have recalled relief pitcher Dovydas Neverauskas. To make room on the 25-man roster, Tanner Anderson has been optioned to Indianapolis.
Anderson made his big league debut yesterday, six days after he was recalled from Indianapolis. He tossed two innings and allowed five earned runs on eight hits. After two days in a row where the bullpen had a lot of work, the Pirates decided to bring back Neverauskas for a third time this year. He has pitched great in Triple-A, but he has a 10.
