ATLANTA — The past few years, manager Clint Hurdle has experienced a very common side effect of life in Pittsburgh: he has lost track entirely of the NBA. He used to attend Denver Nuggets games fairly often while serving as Colorado Rockies manager, but he reckons he hasn’t seen a live game start to finish in four years.
One team Hurdle has long kept tabs on, though, is the Golden State Warriors. His daughter, Ashley, worked for the Warriors not so long ago. Hurdle described them as “a very once-proud franchise that had gone through some challenging time, a 40-year wilderness of their own.
