The Pirates once again couldn't solve the pitching performance of Jake Arrieta on Tuesday, as the Cubs starter breezed through the Pirates lineup through seven innings. He didn't allow a run, only gave up two hits, and struck out five. In three starts this season against the Pirates, he has allowed just two runs in 21 innings. He appears to be the new Johnny Cueto against the Pirates.
The Pirates didn't get a similar starting performance tonight from newcomer J.A. Happ. It was an odd start to be honest.
