BRADENTON, Fla. — The Pirates and KDKA-FM announced this morning a “multi-year” contract that will keep Pirates radio broadcasts on 93.7 the Fan.
Both sides did not disclose the term of the contract. The Pirates and KDKA-FM had a four-year contract that they agreed to in October 2011.
“Sportsradio 93.7 The Fan is very excited to continue broadcasting Pittsburgh Pirates baseball games and in-depth Pirates related programming,” said Michael Young, CBS Radio Pittsburgh’s senior vice president and market manager. “Station listeners have enthusiastically embraced Pirates games and programs since the radio station began partnering with the team four years ago, and we are looking forward to many more exciting seasons.
