LAKELAND, Fla. — Steven Brault summed up nicely the day the Pirates’ lineup had at the plate.
“They just made the park look tiny today,” he said. “It’s ridiculous.”
The Pirates hit four home runs in their 11-1 victory against Detroit at Joker Marchant Stadium. Francisco Cervelli, Jose Osuna, Adam Frazier homered and Jordy Mercer hit a grand slam.
Osuna now has two homers this spring.
“He’s aggressive in the box,” manager Clint Hurdle said. “He seems to be somewhat selective, aggressive in the strike zone.”
