Cruz has been a Statcast darling ever since he became a permanent resident at the major league level. The shortstop broke the record for hardest hit ball in the history of Statcast, and makes frequent trips to the top of the leaderboards.
Monday he did something a little against the grain for him, as he picked up four hits on the night but didn’t have one of those signature ‘Cruz’ missiles.
