Pirates defy logic, reason in 3-2 win over Reds

The Pirates made three errors in the field, failed to record an extra-base hit and did not record a run scoring hit Friday night. Despite that, they found a way to beat the Cincinnati Reds 3-2.

The Pirates scrapped those three runs by loading the bases before recording an out in the second and sixth innings. In the second, the Bucs caught a break when Reds shortstop Jose Peraza dropped what would have been a line-drive twin killer, allowing Colin Moran to score from first base for the first run of the game.
