Pirates-Cubs drawing big numbers in secondary market ticket sales

Tonight's National League wild-card game between the Chicago Cubs and Pirates at PNC Park has broken records for ticket demand on the secondary market.

The number of tickets sold through StubHub exceeds the previous postseason high for the franchise by 20 to 25 percent, according to Cameron Papp, a communications manager for the online ticket marketplace.

"The game has been selling really well," Mr. Papp said.

The old record was set in 2013, when the Pirates played the St. Louis Cardinals in the third game -- the Pirates first home game -- of the National League Division Series.
