Pirates comeback falls short in 3-2 loss to Brewers

The loudest cheer a Pirates batter drew from the 14,152 fans at PNC Park while Milwaukee Brewers starter Freddy Peralta was on the mound Tuesday night came on a pop foul. The ball plummeted toward the first row of seats and clobbered a poor guy’s Yuengling, showering beer all over him, the guy next to him and the top of the visitors’ dugout. Even Brewers catcher Manny Pina couldn’t believe it.

Peralta shut down the Pirates during their 3-2 loss to the Brewers at PNC Park. He allowed two singles in six scoreless innings. Corey Dickerson struck one solidly; the other was a dribbler to third base from Colin Moran.
