Pirates can’t hold early lead, fall to Reds 5-3

The Pittsburgh Pirates jumped out to an early lead from an unexpected power surge, but they couldn’t keep the Cincinnati Reds at bay all night, as their Ohio rival battled back and eventually took the lead with three combined runs in the seventh and eight innings to down the Buccos 5-3.

Phillip Evans and Colin Moran both went deep with solo shots in the first inning off of Jose De Leon, Evans off a change up and Moran off a slider, and our hometown boys jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead that JT Brubaker hoped to keep, and he mostly kept up his end of the bargain.
