LOS ANGELES — The Pirates called up right-hander Dovydas Neverauskas Tuesday from Class AAA Indianapolis. As a corresponding move, they optioned right-hander Tanner Anderson to Indianapolis.
Neverauskas, who was with the Pirates on opening day, has been up and down a couple of times this season. This move represents his third stint with the Pirates this season. In 11 big-league games (11 innings), he has recorded a 10.64 ERA, struck out nine and walked six. In 21 games for Indianapolis, he has a 1.61 ERA.
Anderson, a Harvard product, made his big-league debut Monday in a 17-1 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
