The Pirates on Friday signed right-hander Josh Lindblom and outfielder Eury Perez to minor league contract, which include invitations to major league spring training.
The 29-year-old Lindblom has appeared in the majors for parts of four seasons, from 2011-14. He has a 3.82 ERA in 1362/3 innings, appearing exclusively in relief for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies before starting six games for the Texas Rangers and Oakland Athletics in 2013-14.
The Pirates claimed Lindblom off waivers in December 2014 but designated him for assignment shortly thereafter. He spent the past two seasons pitching in Korea, where he had a 4.
