Pirates Acquire Aramis Ramirez from Brewers

The Pirates bolstered a depleted infield and lineup on Thursday by trading AAA RHP Yhonathan Bossario for Milwaukee Brewers third baseman Aramis Ramirez. Ramirez, who started his career with the Pirates in 1998, was traded away from the Bucs 12 years ago today.

Ramirez is batting .247 with an OPS of .725. He has 11 home runs and 42 RBIs. He is batting .352 with a .922 OPS in the month of July. He will be an enormous upgrade from Brent Morel, who was called up from AAA Indianapolis recently, after the injury sustained to Jordy Mercer.
