The Penguins re-signed veteran depth defenseman Taylor Fedun to a two-year contract extension through the 2023-24 season, Ron Hextall announced on Wednesday.
The contract carries an average annual value and cap hit of $762,500. It is a two-way deal, which means that Fedun's salary is different at the AHL level than it is when he is in the NHL.
Fedun, who turns 34 next month, recently completed his first season in the Penguins organization. He played 44 games in the AHL with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, and served as the team's captain.
