Osvaldo Bido isn’t a name that you are going to find on any prospect list, but if the Pirates are looking for another player to eat up some innings as the season winds down, the righty is playing himself into position to be an option.
At 26-year-old, Bido isn’t much of a prospect anymore, but he has been a workhorse within the Pirates system over the years. With six more innings, Bido will top 100 innings pitched for the third straight minor league season.
He entered the season as a long shot option to get a call for the majors, and didn’t help his case early on with his control issues.
