The Ohio State football team will honor former Steeler Dwayne Haskins on Saturday at its annual Spring Game, paying homage to a quarterback who still has former teammates on the squad.
Haskins, 24, was killed Saturday when he was struck by a dump truck while attempting to walk cross I-595 near Fort Lauderdale, Fla., while on his way to the airport. Some reports suggest Haskins had run out of gas and was trying to get to a gas station to acquire more, though that has not been verified.
Haskins was a record-setting quarterback at Ohio State in 2018, throwing for nearly 5,000 yards and setting the Big Ten record with 50 touchdown passes.
