Nova loses pitchers' duel to D-backs' Ray

Nova was his typically efficient self for much of the night, breezing through five innings on 38 pitches. But Rey Fuentes singled with one out in the sixth and scored on Chris Owings' double to the notch in left-center field to crack Nova in a 14-pitch inning -- at that point, his longest of the night. Paul Goldschmidt doubled and scored on Brandon Drury's infield single in the seventh, and Fuentes plated another run with a groundout as the D-backs forced Nova to throw 26 pitches.
