The Nationals and Pirates have agreed on a deal that will send infielder Chris Bostick to Pittsburgh in exchange for catcher Taylor Gushue and cash considerations.
Bostick, 23, hit a combined .250 with eight home runs and 51 RBIs in 135 games at Double-A Harrisburg and Triple-A Syracuse in 2016.
Bostick, rated the Nationals' No. 30 prospect by MLBPipeline.com, possesses the ability to hit to all fields and can play multiple positions across the diamond.
Gushue, 22, was selected in the fourth round of the MLB Draft by Pittsburgh in 2014. He spent all of 2016 with Class A Advanced Bradenton, where he hit .
