Today is a great day if you love following pitching prospects in the minor league system. You’re usually guaranteed that the best hitters will play more often than not if they are healthy, but you really need the pitching stars to align to get a day like today.
If you somehow missed it from last week, we released our mid-season top 50 prospects list. On that list, you will find six of the seven pitchers going today for Indianapolis on down to the GCL Pirates. That seventh pitcher who didn’t make the list is Tyler Glasnow, who lost his prospect status this year before being sent to the minors back in early June.
