Major League Baseball has told the players association that they will not agree to any proposal that plays more than 60 games, once again threatening to halt negotiations to save the 2020 season.
This comes one day after the union sent a proposal for a 70-game season.
"MLB has informed the association that it will not respond to our last proposal and will not play more than 60 games," the MLBPA released in a statement. "Out executive board will convene in the near future to determine next steps. Importantly, players remain committed to getting back to work as soon as possible.
