CHICAGO — Mitch Keller, the Pirates’ top pitching prospect, will pitch in the Arizona Fall League.
Keller is one of seven Pirates minor leaguers who will play for the Glendale Desert Dogs, one of six AFL teams. The Arizona Fall League serves as a finishing school of sorts for well-regarded prospects to face good competition and make up for missed time.
