The Indianapolis Indians announced prior to Saturday’s game that they have activated catcher Endy Rodriguez from the 7-day Injured List.
Rodriguez injured his arm on a throw during the April 20th game, then left with the trainer. He was placed on the IL the next day with a right forearm strain.
While he is returning just nine days after being injured, he won’t be doing any catching for at least a few days. The Pittsburgh Pirates have said that he will be used as a designated hitter until then.
