MILWAUKEE -- Chad Kuhl continued his dominance of the Brewers on Sunday, holding them to just one hit over seven shutout innings while the Pirates hit three home runs in a 9-0 victory at Miller Park.
Kuhl struck out eight and improved to 3-0 with a 1.91 ERA in six career starts against the Brewers. All three of those decisions have come at Miller Park, where he now owns a 1.84 ERA in four career starts. Kuhl lowered his season ERA from 5.01 to 4.12.
Adam Frazier gave him an early cushion, belting the second pitch of the game from Brewers right-hander Chase Anderson into the right-field stands for his first career leadoff home run.
