NEW YORK -- Pirates right-hander Chad Kuhl was removed from Tuesday's game against the Mets after four innings due to right forearm discomfort, and he was undergoing treatment by the medical staff at Citi Field.
Kuhl gave up three hits and two earned runs on the night, while tossing a career-high three wild pitches and walking two. There were two instances, once in the first inning and again in the fourth, during which pitching coach Ray Searage met with Kuhl on the mound. The second time, they were joined by Pirates trainers to look at his motion.
