Jung Ho Kang Receives Suspended Sentence in DUI Case

Jung Ho Kang went to trial Friday morning in Seoul and received an 8-month sentence, suspended for two years, for his third DUI change, which occurred back in December. According to Jeeho Yoo of Yonhap News, Kang is now able to join the Pittsburgh Pirates in Spring Training. Assuming he joins the team immediately, he still has four weeks to get ready before the start of the season.

It's still possible that Kang could be punished by Major League Baseball. MLBPA executive director Tony Clark was asked about a possible punishment for Kang last month, but refused to make any statement on that matter until the trial was over.
