The Pittsburgh Pirates have activated pitcher Josh Lindblom from the 10-day disabled list and he has been sent outright to Indianapolis. Lindblom had to clear waivers first before he could be sent outright, which opens up a spot on the 40-man roster. The Pirates will need to make a decision with Antonio Bastardo soon, as his rehab assignment is just one day away from the 30 days maximum allowed for pitchers on rehab.
Lindblom pitched 10.1 innings over four appearances before he was placed on the disabled list to open up a 25-man roster spot for Jhan Marinez .
