Musgrove was thrown right into the fire, with the Yankees starting a lineup that included Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton and Gary Sanchez. Musgrove threw 54 pitches over 2 2/3 innings, allowed one hit, two runs and three walks, and struck out five.

“I was real excited to be out there,” Musgrove said. “To face a lineup like that is good, it’s a challenge, and I get to work on some stuff that I’m not used to working on, so I was happy with it.
