Jeff Locke had a pretty rough game tonight for the Pirates. That's actually an understatement, as it was a brutal outing, an outing in which he did not reach the sixth inning, the sixth consecutive time he hasn't been able to reach the sixth inning in a start.
That's an issue for sure.
The Giants jumped all over Locke early. Nori Aoki and Matt Duffy led off the game by reaching base. After a groundout by Brandon Belt, Buster Posey hit a line drive to left field, which was deep enough to score Aoki from third, for the first run of the game.
