Jameson Taillon left Friday’s Pirates game after three innings due to a finger laceration on his right hand.
Taillon was pitching well against the San Francisco Giants before he left the game after 51 pitches. He allowed one hit, struck out five and walked one over the three innings. He struck out former teammate Andrew McCutchen twice.
Taillon said last year that he had slight blister issues, although it’s unclear if the laceration was related.
Steven Brault came on in relief for Taillon.
