PITTSBURGH -- The Pirates activated second baseman Josh Harrison from the disabled list before Sunday's series finale against the Padres. Nick Kingham, who recorded a quality start in a 6-2 loss on Saturday, was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis.
Kingham had been recalled from Double-A Altoona for Saturday's game, with infielder Max Moroff going to Indianapolis.
Harrison played three games for Altoona on a Minor League rehab assignment and returned to Pittsburgh on Saturday.
"It felt really good. Just excited to be able to progress and get ready to get back in the swing of things," Harrison said.
