Ke'Bryan Hayes' rookie season will be bookended by left wrist injuries.
On Wednesday, the Pirates' placed their third baseman on the 10-day injured list with general wrist soreness, which he informed the team about within the past 24 hours.
Director of sports medicine Todd Tomczyk told local media Wednesday afternoon that this soreness is not in the same area as his injury earlier this season. That left wrist strain occurred on a swing in the second game of the season back in April, sidelining him for two months.
"It’s a different sensation," Tomczyk said.
