SAN FRANCISCO — AT&T Park’s left field presents a striking view: A high brick wall, arches cut away to reveal the out-of-town scoreboard, the tantalizing possibility of McCovey Cove just beyond. Tuesday night the view haunted Jameson Taillon, as he watched base hit after base hit fly that way, and Jose Osuna, the man tasked with tracking them down.
Taillon put forth the worst start of his major league career during the Pirates’ 11-3 loss to the San Francisco Giants. Osuna and Josh Bell made mistakes in the field that did not help, but Taillon was not sharp.
