ALTOONA, Pa. -- Duquesne had George Washington on the ropes multiple times throughout their triple-overtime contest before ultimately falling 98-93 Wednesday night.
The loss, the 14th straight for the Dukes, moved the them to 6-22 overall and 1-15 in the Atlantic 10 for the season. It also spoiled spectacular performances from Duquesne's dynamic freshmen duo of Jackie Johnson III and Primo Spears who scored 30 and 25 respectively. Spears played a game-high 52 minutes.
Spears dropped nearly half of his points in the overtimes scoring 12 points in the three bonus frames to help keep the Dukes alive.
