The Pittsburgh Pirates are in disarray. They have gone 10-22 over their last 32 games and sit dangerously close to officially falling out of any kind of contention.
The club needs a stopper, and needs it fast.
Don’t laugh. Williams is coming off of what was arguably the best start of his young career, tossing seven innings of one-hit ball against the Milwaukee Brewers. It may just end up being a case of having the hot hand on the mound at the right time.
