It what is an early game thread, Trevor Williams will take on Jack Flaherty of the Cardinals in his return to the bigs for his second start of the season.
Flaherty looked good his first time out on 4/3 against the Brewers (5 IP, 1 ER, 1 BB, 9 SO in a no decision) but has since spent some time in AAA ( 3-0, 2.25 ERA, 3 BB, 22 SO, in 20 IP). With an average fastball of 91.22 MPH, he does not have overpowering stuff but has commanded the ball well this year.
