With the specter of COVID-19 hanging over MLB, the Pirates make their 2020 home debut at PNC Park tonight. They’ll look to even their record on the season at 2-2 after dropping two out of three to St. Louis over the weekend in the season’s first series. Although no fans will be at PNC, the club did hang the traditional bunting at various locations.
Even without fans, the atmosphere at PNC has to be much more festive than it was across the state as the Philadelphia Phillies had their scheduled date with the Yankees at Citizens Bank Park postponed along with the Marlins-Orioles game in Miami while MLB does additional testing for the coronavirus.
