Four Altoona Curve Named to Eastern League All-Star Game

On Thursday afternoon, the Eastern League announced the rosters for their July 13th All-Star game in Akron. Four Altoona Curve players were named to the Western Division squad.

Starting pitcher Tyler Eppler gets the nod thanks to a 3.96 ERA in 88.2 innings, with an 18:55 BB/SO ratio and a 1.26 WHIP. He takes the mound tonight for Altoona ranking just six innings pitched behind the league leader.

Reliever Jared Lakind has a 1.83 ERA in 28 appearances this season. In 39.1 innings, he has 35 strikeouts, a 1.12 WHIP and a .187 BAA. He has thrown shutout ball in 19 of his last 20 appearances.
