Former Pirates player and MLB manager Art Howe has been released from the hospital after being admitted earlier this week with COVID-19.
Howe started to experience symptoms of the virus on May 3 and tested positive for it two days later. He was taken to the hospital via an ambulance on May 12, after he had been self-isolating for a week.
The 73-year-old is not out of the woods yet, but going home is a very good sign.
Howe also sent a message to take the pandemic seriously:
Howe was born in Pittsburgh and played parts of two years with the Pirates from 1974-1975.
