Former Pirates infielder Jung-Ho Kang was suspended from the Korean Baseball Organization for one year on Monday for his past drunk driving arrests.
Kang will also have to complete 300 hours of community service, Jee-Ho Yoo reports.
Last month, Yoo reported that Kang was eyeing a return back to the KBO by asking to be removed from the “voluntarily retired” list. His old club, the Nexen (currently Kiwoom) Heroes, would have to agree to retain Kang for him to return.
Kang's suspension would begin once the Heroes take him off the voluntarily retired list.
