Travis Swaggery
Maybe nobody in the Pirates system was in need of a big day like Travis Swaggerty. The former first round pick has struggled this season in Triple-A, entering Thursday game 7-for-35 (.200) on the season, with his only extra-base hit coming almost two weeks ago.
There’s still work to be done, but Swaggerty had one of his better games of the season on Thursday, going 2-for-4 with two runs along with a two-run home run.
