It seems like every turn you make throughout the Pirates system you can find a player that Ben Cherington acquired by trade. Omar Cruz is no exception, as the lefty was added to the Pirates system in the Joe Musgrove trade.
Cruz started the year with Greensboro, making seven starts before getting promoted to Altoona, where he would make his final 14 starts of the 2021 season.
