The Pirates were swept in what was one of the most lopsided series' in recent memory at PNC Park. The club played uninspired ball, couldn't capitalize on the few chances that they had, and clearly showed that the Cubs have take up residency in their heads.
The Bucs were outscored 20-5 in the three games, and have fallen to six games back in the division. Things won't get too much easier heading forward as they will travel to St. Louis for a three game weekend set, following a much needed day off tomorrow.
The Pirates have lost a season high four games in a row.
